We were invited to dinner last night with 5 other couples from the church.
Four couples are part of the "doers" of the church - if something is going on, especially outside the church, they are part of it.
The other couple are relatively new to the church.
We had a great time - good food (it was sort of an organized pot luck), some wine and lots of interesting conversation.
It was the kind of thing Marion would have avoided at all cost - 12 people in one room all talking at once - but with her hearing aid she had no problem following conversations across the room.

you don't realize that gradually you quit going certain places (like CF) or doing certain things
