Finally

This morning I actually got through to a supervisor at Cogeco!!

Had to threaten some poor girl in billing with cancelling our service to do it but I did it.

Found out that their engineering dept. did look into our problem - it would have been nice if they had actually communicated that to someone but whatever.

It turns out that there is not a problem with our line - no one is using our IP or MAC address without our knowledge.

The only thing they can think of to do now is to switch out our cable box which may be sending erroneous signals back to them - so they are doing that tomorrow.

The supervisor promised to monitor the situation & call back in a week to see how things are going.

If this doesn't work I think we will cancel Cogeco & get new providers for TV, phone & internet.
