We have been looking at condos recently - seriously thinking about downsizing.
We both like the house we have now but it is a two story with a basement that houses the TV room & laundry room which means constantly going up & down stairs & we aren't getting any younger.
There are some nice condos in Burlington with reasonable condo fees & taxes (Burlington taxes are much lower then Hamilton's). Plus we would only be 15 minutes from the church. Getting to Waterdown from Stoney Creek is a major pain :(
We were sitting in the dining room last night looking around & wondering what we would have to get rid of to move to a 1100 sq. ft. condo. The answer was "lots"!!
Right now for example we have three computers for two of us !!
Pretty sure my computer would have to go but how willing will Marion be to share one of hers with me ?? I'll probably have to negotiate computer time during slow times at the farms & cafes :)
Then because the unit we saw yesterday (and really liked) was decorated with funky modern furniture you wonder if your stuff would look good there.
As I write this I'm in the basement wondering if I could really live where the entire apartment is not a whole lot bigger than where I'm sitting now.
Think I could - a TV, e-reader, lap top & a comfy chair are all I really need & they don't take up much space :)

Maybe YOU can do without lots of space. But WHERE will you put the multiple boxes of Christmas decorations?? ;)
We talked about them - there will have to be some serious thinning of the Christmas herd:)
Biggest problem for Mar will be five china cabinets.
that's what i look forward to MOST when I'm thinking about condo-living - is the downsizing - the not having crap everywhereness. :)
