Today was the first real day of my most recent retirement.
Today was the day everyone (well almost everyone) came back to work.
We had Emily ( youngest granddaughter) with us so she kept me busy - we went out for lunch then shopping for her birthday present - a docking station for her ipod.
I think I may want one of those ipods or iphones - have to save my pennys &see.
I'll have to check & see if there are age restrictions on those. I can hear the kid at Future Shop now: "I'm sorry sir, you are just too old to have one of these". :)
The rest of this week will keep me busy taking down all the Christmas stuff, storing all those totes in the garage attic and generally returning the house to normal.
Next week I'm thinking about tracking down some volunteer opportunities - talk to Jason about something at the church, a food bank or a soup kitchen, something(s) to keep me busy.
We'll see what turns up :)

Happy Happy Retirement!
Hope you find a volunteer opp that truly turns your crank. I'll be looking for the same when I bit the bullet in a couple of years - hopefully!

Whatever you choose or find, it will be a different adventure than working. There are days I really miss part time, and volunteering - there are other days I feel very lucky to work full time.
Our soup kitchen ALWAYS needs more volunteers, if you want to work in Oshawa ;)
