Festival

Community is hosting a festival in Memorial Park in Waterdown on Sunday Sept, 11.

There will be a 9/11 memorial, a short service then all kinds of festival stuff - bouncing rides, food, candy floss (yes, we have our own candy floss machine how cool is that?), road hockey & who knows what else.

Anyway after church Sunday we had a meeting to brainstorm some ideas - after a short presentation Jason had us break into smaller groups to discuss various aspects of the festival.

We had a table for food, another for promotion, another for games and another for set up & tear down.

I thought I would wander over the the promotion table (the largest group BTW) - it seemed the best to me.
No real work to do on the day of the festival & if by chance you do actually come up with a great idea you can say it came from the HS :)
That way everyone will know how spiritual you are & if the idea turns out to be bad it really wasn't yours anyway (win-win)

But on my way to the promotion table I saw Barry sitting all by himself at the set up table - so I sat with him & it seems like we will be very busy that entire weekend.

Oh well - the promotional group probably wouldn't have liked my idea anyway - even if it was HS inspired :)
