We left the restaurant at the same time as three older people, one of whom was using a walker.
As an aside - I find it funny that I would think of these three as "older" when, in fact, they probably were around my age. Just another example of me not accepting how old I am, I guess.
We took some pictures at work last week - part of a display to show off our renovations - and when they came out I was more than a little shocked to realize the old grey haired analyst working in the background in a couple of them was me.
Anyway back to the old people: mrv & I crossed the street to our car while the three of them walked slowly up Ottawa Street. As I approached the car I could hear an "beep beep" sound from the sidewalk. I turned and could see a lady in a scooter zipping up behind them. I could easily see the lady on the scooter was upset that these three had the audacity to slow down her journey.
Beep, beep again as the scooter lady forced these three to the side so she could be on her way at breakneck speed (for a scooter anyway).
Why are so many scooter people like this ??
Just something else to keep in mind when I get my scooter, I'll be the most polite scooter person on the planet. No guarantees about mrv though - she'll be "pedal to the metal" all the way :)
