Here are the rules I am to follow:

1) When I was 4 or 5 I got dragged along behind a milk truck completely screwing up my knees.
Don't really remember how I got myself into that position but it probably seemed like a good idea to a 5 year old :)
2) My first car was a 1956 Pontiac in perfect condition (this was 1966) with a big V8 engine. I completely destroyed the engine & transmission in 6 months.
3) The first song I heard on #2's radio was "Summer in the City" by the Lovin' Spoonful.
I still love that song.
4) When I graduated from high school (1966) I took a job with Inco in Port Colborne figuring I would work there until Stelco or Dofasco started hiring again. I retired from that job after 37 years.
5) I got saved in a park in Dunville (truthfully it happened in my living room weeks before but this was the first public acknowledgement). As we (mrv & I) were standing in line waiting to be prayed for people in the line ahead of us started to fall over - my first official prayer was "don't let that happen to me" & it was answered.
6) I went to Guatemala through work for about 3 weeks. Loved the country & the people and want to go back again some day.

Hey Bob---you left those experiences out of " Supper and a Story ". Maybe you ought'a do it again so we really get to know you. lol
From the list:
- I laughed out loud at the last random thing, and am glad God answered your prayer.

- I've never met anyone who got "saved in Dunnville" before. Yikes. Why were you in Dunnville? (for those of you NOT from our home town, people in Port Colborne do not typically go to Dunnville unless there is a VERY good reason to go to Dunnville!)
- First car at 19? Not too shabby.
Oh, and you're welcome to come to Guatemala with us next year.

Dunville! That's Ruths hometown. What a great place to get saved! Not a bad place to retire in either.

Yes,Dunnville was a very strange place especially for me. If you think folk from Port Colborne look down on Dunnville you should have seen what those of us brought up in Cayuga thought of them :)
We were there for a "Friends of Jesus" concert by the way. My brother in law (Chris's uncle)played bass in the band and was the one most responsible for leading us to God.
