Thank You

I just wanted to give a quick thank you to all the "White Christmas" lovers out there for not over doing it this year.
We had to travel to the Oshawa area this year for Christmas dinner at my daughter's & I really appreciated the snow-free driving.

I remember my first California winter. I searched and searched and could not find a snow shovel anywhere. I was as close to Nirvana as I could get.

And no, there is no Nirvana California. The only state it is found is the state of Mind.

Glad you had a safe trip.

After driving back from my sisters last night in Markdale (that's in Beaver valley ski area) in freezing rain, I would have welcomed a little snow. It's much easier to drive on. I hear what you are saying. "DRY" is much better for driving. Glad you had a good trip. All I could say on the way back was " Only in Canada eh!".

Freezing rain - that's nasty.

We've been known to even pull off the road for freezing rain. (Not a snowstorm, though.)

Gostei muito desse post e seu blog é muito interessante, vou passar por aqui sempre =) Depois dá uma passada lá no meu site, que é sobre o CresceNet, espero que goste. O endereço dele é http://www.provedorcrescenet.com . Um abraço.

Patti.... I'm too stubborn to pull over. You just need to keep your speed down. I was following a salt truck for the worst part. I've only been really nervous once. Eleven years ago we had a flash freeze and the roads in Hamilton literally turned to shear ice in a matter of minutes. We we're on route to Burlington to my parents for Christmas. You could not touch the brake at all or the car would slide.Hundreds of cars were in the ditch.People couldn't get up the mountain. A 25 minute drive took
3 1/2 hours. Scarry!

Joe; gotta love the way your brain works!

Although Nirvana can be found in the state of Mind (and we're not referring to the musical band "Nirvana"), I do think that California can help one get closer to that state. :)

Say Doug, you wanted to know what "CresceNet" said? Doesn't matter, it is advertising spam. They inject their link into hundreds... thousands... more... websites in hopes of getting a better search engine listing. I have to clean up this stuff almost everyday on my site. To avoid getting some of this type of stuff you have to use the authorization code like you did on your site. There are other ways they sneak in to do the same thing.

By the way Bob, you had a whole day of the New Year... How is it going so far? ;)

Thanks Joe. I didn't know that.
