Summer Time

This is so cool - sitting in my backyard enjoying the great weather while I:
  • throw a ball for my dog
  • watch the neigbours new puppy destroy a plastic thingy he took from their back porch
  • listen to & watch all the birds - in particular one large loud cardinal
  • play on the laptop INCO so kindly supplied me with.

Thank you for wireless technology & for neigbours with an accessible wireless connection I can get from my backyard.

rofl!!

two questions
1) is "rof" rolling on floor??
M. tries to keep me from sounding completely clueless about all these short forms but I can't keep up. I still use capitals & puncuation and still can't figure out why some people (Christine) have these capital letters that just show up randomly.

2) why is the time on this thing so far off??

rofl means rolling on the floor laughing

I don't know why the time is off. Go into your dashboard, go to "settings" then "formatting" Scroll down and you'll see that you can pick your time zone. That should fix it.

oh. P.S.

Correct capitalization, punctuation and other aspects of grammar are not so important in the comments part. If you want to really do anything with your blog, keep your good habits.

I think my time is off too.

I am also thankful for neighbours with wireless!

hmmmm ... apparently I live in an area of the Creek that is far less neighbourly ... all my neighbours have secured their wireless ... so the work supplied laptop can't be used on the back deck while tossing a rubber newspaper to Calvin.

PS sorry for the delete ... i hate spelling mistakes ... they make me look less than remarkably intelligent. :)

I know how you feel about the spelling - although I haven't set the bar for the intelligence level I'm trying to project quite as high as you, Kelly. They should have a spell checker for the comments.

you don't like my random capitalization? i consider it a quirk, and have grown to love it.

you should maybe re-think your "eight things" because if me and the kids lived closer.. it would be your grand-daughter on the internet, your grandsons ripping apart something they found on the porch, and you'd be inside making them snacks!

oh.. and we went to rob bell's church,. it was pretty cool.

and i have a new book for you to find and read. "EXILES" by michael frost.

Bob said...

I'll look for it.
Jim & Casper Go to Church was great. Once Mom has finished it I'll send it up to you.

yah! i actually recommended "jim and casper" to a pastor-friend of mine up in windsor.. i want to read it badly.

and mars hill was totally not what i expected, but pretty interesting.

Patti said...

Excuse me, please, where do I find the line for borrowing Jim and Casper? Just wanted to line up in the right spot.

Kelly said...

I think it's somewhere near the line at the Stoney Creek Dairy ... We can take turns reading it aloud ... and eating icecream ... and discussing ...

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM icecream

OK - now I have Pastor P figured out:
Step #1- mention an interesting sounding book on my blog
Step #2 - someone reading the blog will buy the book
Step #3 - borrow book

Patti - you are either after M or after Christine. Depending on when M finishes the book & when we see Chris next.

Bob said...

I like the way Kelly thinks - maybe a weekly book discussion meeting at Stoney Creek dairy.

Hey Patti
Tell Jeff that Casper (the friendly atheist) does in deed have a band called "Hell Yeah" but it is not "Hell Yeah" the heavy metal super group.

chRistine said...

and just to let you know, my husband *will* drive hours for an ice cream, so you can count me in on the book discussion.

Patti said...

hahaha!!!

Hey, if I can borrow a book, why buy it? And on the other hand, I'm happy to loan out most of my books to people that can be depended upon to return them.

Books and icecream and discussion...doesn't get much better than that.

But if we're going to have any kind of decent discussion, we should probably have more than 1 copy for the whole group.

I might have to break down and buy my own.

:)
