We like to gather our 4 analytical work groups together once a month or so for lunch - a team building thing.
We had talked about bringing in Chinese food for our next get together & on the way to work yesterday I heard an ad on the radio for a Chinese restaurant that one of my pastors had mentioned she really liked when she lived in Toronto.
So I went on the net to look at their menu & see if they deliver to the Mississauga/Oakville area.
Can't find them anywhere.
Finally I turned to Lynna, the Chinese lady who sits in the next desk, and asked if she could see why I couldn't find this restaurant anywhere.
Looking over my shoulder she said " silly Caucasian - its "Ho Lee Chow" not "Holy Chow"!!

What makes a good worship song??

• Is it the music??
• Is it the words??
• A little of both??

Do you like a song the first time you hear it or does it have to grow on you??
I find I like some songs immediately (usually like the music) and grow to like others (the words speak to me).

Have you ever heard a song that 2 years ago you just loved & thought "what did I ever see in

Why do some songs seem to catch the imagination of an entire church for a season??

Does hearing some song immediately bring you back to that period in your life ?? (vineyard songs from the 90's do it for me)

How do worship leaders pick songs for a service ??

What criteria does a worship leader use to pick a new song??

Great day -received 2 CD's & a book from Amazon on Tuesday.
See the Morning by Chris Tomlin - excellent. I see Pastor P and the worship band are already playing some songs from this one.
Remedy by the David Crowder Band - WOW. I really like this one. Realize now that many of the songs I really like from the Passion CD are David Crowder's.
The book is The Jesus I Never Knew - can't wait to read it. Do I have the discipline to finish the book on prayer I am currently reading & enjoying??
