Make's you wonder how low we can go as a society.
I read today about a new reality series Dutch TV is planning:
a terminally ill lady with a functioning kidney will choose the lucky recipiant of the kidney (upon her death I would hope but you never know) from a group of contestants all facing death themselves unless they somehow receive a transplant.
The mind boggles at the possibilities for these bottom feeders (producers & viewers) if this is a success.

Summer Time
This is so cool - sitting in my backyard enjoying the great weather while I:
- throw a ball for my dog
- watch the neigbours new puppy destroy a plastic thingy he took from their back porch
- listen to & watch all the birds - in particular one large loud cardinal
- play on the laptop INCO so kindly supplied me with.
Thank you for wireless technology & for neigbours with an accessible wireless connection I can get from my backyard.

Eight Random Facts
I knew this blog thing was a mistake - now I've been tagged (whatever that is).
First off I have to post the rules "Each person starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their 8 things and post the rules. At the end of your blog, tag 8 people and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog."
I'm afraid I'm with Patti & Kelly - everyone I know with a blog has been tagged.
1) I really like going to work - at this point in my life its like having a well-paid hobby.
2) However, I don't like driving to work on the QEW
3) I wish my kids & grandchildren lived closer to us
4) When I turned 50 I bought a bass (bright bright yellow) & started to take lessons. Just always wanted to play the bass. Didn't last long though I found out playing a bass all by yourself sucks - you need a band.
5) At 50 I also bought a firebird with T-tops - turned out I liked that a lot better than the bass
6) The neigbours behind us have a new golden retriever puppy - now I want one.
7) I don't have the "handyman" gene - hit my father, my brother & my son but just skipped right by me.
8) I love clocks - especially clocks that tick & chime.

back from vacation
Gatlinburg Tennessee is beautiful. Mountains, forests, lots of shows and great food.
I finished SexGod by Rob Bell - a very interesting read. A lot of things to think about.
One thing I took from the book is the concept that God wants people in Heaven.
He is not a stern judge forced to sentence people to Hell if they don't have every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed. Heaven is going to be a very interesting place.
